About Mrs. Bentley
Hi! My name is Mrs. Bentley and I so excited to join the 3rd grade team at State Bridge Crossing Elementary. I am ECSTATIC to be your teacher! This year will be full of learning and new adventures. I can't wait to see what this year brings us!
I grew up in a suburb of Tampa, Florida. My family moved to Lawrenceville, Georgia when I was entering 6th grade. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Kennesaw State University earning my degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I continued my education and earned an endorsement in ESOL. After graduating, I worked in Barrow County schools as a second grade teacher for seven years. I was one of the nominees in 2014 as a teacher of the year. In the summer of 2014, my husband Brian and I moved to Johns Creek and adopted our greyhound Emerson. I taught first grade for one year in Milton. In April of that year my son Finn was born and I had the wonderful opportunity to take one year off to be with him. I taught 2nd Grade in 2017-2018 at State Bridge Crossing and then had my second son, Rune. I took one year off to be with him during his first year. Last, year I taught on the 2nd grade team at SBCE. This year will be my eleventh year teaching. I am thrilled to be teaching 3rd grade this year. This is such a wonderful grade with lots of exciting curriculum. I can’t wait to spend this year learning and growing with you. It’s going to be a wonderful year!
